Application

Built around a synchronized triple-rack-and-pinion drive, the FPT three-finger translational gripper is rapidly becoming the go-to end-effector for tasks that demand both self-centering accuracy and gentle, high-geometry compliance.  Inside CNC turning centers it slips into the spindle to auto-load and auto-remove round, prismatic or thin-walled parts—from 20 mm fuel-injector bodies to 150 mm aluminum casings—without leaving jaw marks.  Electronics plants deploy it for precisely stacking battery cells, centering smartphone camera barrels or inserting shielding cans onto densely packed PCBs, while medical-device manufacturers rely on its low-particulate, IP-rated housing to cap vials, place pipette tips and transfer micro-titer plates in ISO-7 clean rooms.  In automotive power-train lines it re-grips crankshafts and rotors during sequential machining, and downstream it can palletize irregular housings or kit mixed fasteners for flexible assembly cells.  Additive-manufacturing workcells now use the same gripper to lift fresh metal prints from the build plate, re-orient them for support removal and then hand them off to deburring stations, all while maintaining sub-0.01 mm repeatability across millions of maintenance-free cycles.
